About LEE Film
LEE Film is an independent production company, producing film and TV series with focus on animated film for the very youngest alongside documentaries for an adult audience.
We develop and produce our own ideas as well as acquire rights to original works, and we also handle international sales.
LEE Film was founded in August 2011 by director/producer Linda Hambäck. The company have produced several films all with cinema distribution, such as Liten Skär och alla små brokiga (Stina Wirsén, 2012), What if… (Hambäck/Heidebäck, 2014) and The world of Dolores and Gunellen (Linda Hambäck, 2016).
The company’s first feature Gordon and Paddy (Linda Hambäck, 2017) had its international premiere in competition in Generation Kplus at the 2018 Berlinale.
The latest feature The Ape Star (Linda Hambäck 2021) had its international world premiere in Annecy Int Film festival in competition 2021 and were nominated for best European animated feature at European Film Awards 2022 among the successful festival tour.
LEE Film is firmly established as producer of animation for the youngest audiences. We constantly strive to be the market leader in the segment in terms of quality and creativity. Key words for the company are tolerance and equality at all levels.
